Hearing of ‘peace academics’ Seval Gülen, Zeynep Kadirbeyoğlu, Oya Köymen, and Meltem Toksöz will be held at İstanbul 23. High Criminal Court. Academics are accused of ‘terrorist propaganda’ due to their participation in the petition titled ‘We will not be a party to this crime’ launched by the Academics for Peace Initiative. Hearings will start at 9:30 AM, with 15 minutes apart.

Hearing of executives and editors of the now-shuttered Özgür Gündem newspaper Eren Keskin, Reyhan Çapan, Filiz Koçali, Ayşe Berktay, Nuray Özdoğan, Celalettin Can, Ayşe Batumlu and Reyhan Hacıoğlu will start at 9:30 AM at İstanbul 14. High Criminal Court. Journalists are accused of ‘inciting crime’, ‘praising crime and criminals’ and ‘terrorist propaganda’.

Final hearing of journalist Nazlı Ilıcak’s ‘espionage’ case will be held at 10:30 AM at İstanbul 26. High Criminal Court. Ilıcak is accused of ‘espionage through revealing secret documents of the state’.

Hearing of Erol Önderoğlu, Şebnem Korur Fincancı and Ahmet Nesin who had participated in the ‘Editor-in-chief on Watch’ solidarity campaign launched by the now-shuttered Özgür Gündem newspaper, will be held at 11:00 AM at İstanbul 13. High Criminal Court.

Hearing of former Zaman newspaper Konya correspondent Şirin Kabakçı will be held at 11:30 AM at İstanbul 35. High Criminal Court. Kabakçı is accused of ‘membership in a terrorist organization’.
